LEGOLAND® New York names director of sales and marketing

TOWN OF GOSHEN – Jay Hamill, a seasoned marketing professional with more than 30 years of experience, has been named Director of Sales and Marketing for LEGOLAND® New York Resort, leaders of the theme park and parent company Merlin Entertainments announced today. Hamill’s appointment completes LEGOLAND New York’s senior leadership team.

“Joining this team is a dream come true,” said Hamill. “I visited LEGOLAND California when my kids were younger, and we made memories there that will last a lifetime. I’m thrilled to help create unforgettable memories for our guests at LEGOLAND New York in 2020.”

“Jay is the perfect choice to lead our sales and marketing efforts,” said LEGOLAND New York Divisional Director Mark Germyn. “He will play a pivotal role on our senior leadership team as we prepare to open the ultimate LEGO® theme park destination.”

Hamill comes to LEGOLAND New York from Marcos Franchising, where he served as Vice President of Field Marketing and Sales.

LEGOLAND New York’s team is now up to more than 45 Model Citizens. It is expected to nearly double in size by the end of 2019 as the theme park’s recruitment efforts accelerate. The team will grow to more than 1,000 by opening day in 2020.
