DEERPARK – A man and women were arrested on drug charges early Friday morning after police executed a search warrant at 19 First Street in the Cuddebackville/Godeffroy area of the Town of Deerpark.

The arrests culminated a five-month investigation.

Deerpark Town Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group seized 97 bags of heroin, 13 grams of loose heroin, 19 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale, along with a small amount of ecstasy and marijuana. Scales and packaging materials were also located in the home.

Arrested were Donald Collier, 39, and Ashley Finch, 30, also known as Ashley Collier, both of that address.

Both were charged with two counts of felony drug possession and were remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail each.

Assisting in the investigation were the county district attorney’s and sheriff’s offices and county child protective services.

Deerpark Police Chief Richard Sztyndor said the “dedication of all members of the different agencies is yet another example of their commitment to making the Town of Deerpark a better place to live.”
