WHITE PLAINS – A Port Chester man was sentenced by Westchester County Court Judge Susan Cacace to 13 years in state prison and 20 years of post-release supervision for forcibly raping a 15-year-old girl in the Village of Port Chester on November 12, 2017.

Antonio Olivarez, 41, who must also register as a sex offender, pled guilty to first-degree rape in May.

The victim disclosed the attack in school the next day and was taken to Westchester Medical Center. After DNA testing revealed the presence of Olivarez’s semen on the victim’s pillowcase and blanket, he was sought by Port Chester Police, but he evaded capture.

In July 2018, US Marshals, with assistance from local police, located him in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was found hiding in a closet and resisted arrest. He refused to waive extradition back to Westchester County.

The grand jury indicted Olivarez in August 2018. A governor’s warrant was obtained to extradite him back to New York.
