NEWBURGH – The Orange County DPW’s Transfer Station #2 (Newburgh) will undergo repairs for the next week. The work begins on Friday, July 05.
The project will take approximately one week and will involve closing half of the facility. This may result in longer line waits.
Personnel at the site will assist with any questions and will provide direction for any changed traffic patterns. As an alternative, Newburgh transfer station customers may also utilize our Orange County Transfer Station #1 (New Hampton Transfer Station) located at 21 Training Center Lane, New Hampton, NY.
It is important to note that we will remain open during the project, and the Citizens Drop-Off Area will remain open, and unaffected. We appreciate your patience during these repairs.
The Newburgh transfer station is at 9 Orr Avenue.
