Domestic squabble leads to stabbing

SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties woman has been arrested in connection with a Tuesday night domestic incident at her residence in which she allegedly punched and stabbed her victim.

Saugerties officers were called to 2681 Route 9W shortly after 9 p.m. to find that Elizabeth Mack, 38, had allegedly punched the victim in the face causing lacerations to the person’s mouth and stabbing the victim in the abdomen several times causing minor lacerations.

Mack was charged with menacing, assault and endangering the welfare of a child as the couple’s two- and four-year-old children were present during the attack.

Mac was arraigned and released on her own recognizance and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
