Bronx man arrested in murder of New Rochelle resident

NEW YORK – A Bronx man is under arrest, charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of a New Rochelle man in New York.

NYPD Saturday arrested Jose Paniagua, 18, and charged him with murder, gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, police found Mohamed Nasser Awawdah, 28, unconscious and unresponsive lying in front of 201 Dyckman Street in New York. He was pronounced dead at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
