Man fatally stabbed in Manhattan was Westchester resident

NEW YORK – A New Rochelle man has been identified as the victim of a fatal assault in Manhattan on Wednesday, June 17.

Mohamed Nassar Awawdah, 28, was found stabbed in front of 201 Dyckman Street. He was unconscious and suffered a stab wound to the chest, NYPD said.

He was transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.
