ORANGETOWN – Orangetown Police responded to a report of an intruder in a home on Hansen Avenue in Pearl River early Sunday, June 16.  Upon arrival, officers were told by the homeowners an unknown man had entered their home and was still inside.

Officers found Ryan McMahon, 21, of Wayne, New Jersey, who allegedly kicked and damaged the rear door of the residence and then began kicking the front door. At which time he was confronted by the homeowner. McMahon allegedly made threatening statements towards the two occupants and then refused to comply with attempts by police to arrest him.

McMahon is charged with burglary and criminal mischief, both felonies and resisting arrest, a misdemeanor. The Orangetown Police news release does not say whether he was incarcerated.  He is due back in court on June 24.
