SAUGERTIES – A woman, whose full-grown mastiff dog allegedly attacked another woman’s 10-week old French bulldog, has been charged with having a dangerous dog.

Saugerties Police said while at HITS in late May, Lynn Marie Reed approached the other woman while in a golf cart with her mastiff on board. Reed stopped and asked the complainant if she could introduce her dog to the bulldog.

The mastiff allegedly jumped off the golf cart and charged the other woman grabbing the French bulldog and injuring the woman.

Reed was charged on Friday, June 14 and released on an appearance ticket to Saugerties Town Court.
