Sullivan County measles count increases

LIBERTY – Sullivan County now has seven confirmed cases of measles so far this year and the county Public Health Department is notifying the public of possible exposure to an individual who recently tested positive.

Residents may have been exposed if they were at Yeshiva Gedolah Zichron Moshe in South Fallsburg on June 1 between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. or between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Residents have also have been exposed on June 4 if they were at Middletown Medical, Thompson Square Mall in Monticello between 12:45 p.m. and 4 p.m.

County public health staff continues to closely monitor the situation and requires isolation for persons who were known to be exposed but have no proof of immunity.

Persons who have not been vaccinated against the virus are urged to contact their doctor and do so.
