Motorcycle fatality on Route 17

TOWN OF CHESTER – State Police from the Monroe barracks, Sunday, investigated a fatal motorcycle accident on Route 17 in the Town of Chester.

The incident occurred at 4:20 p.m. near exit 127.

Police are investigating the possibility the rider was involved in a high-speed race with another motorcycle, which fled the scene.

The victim’s name was not released as of Sunday night.
