Catskill man charged with pulling gun highway workers

SAUGERTIES – Police arrested a Catskill man for allegedly brandishing a handgun during a dispute with Ulster County Highway Department crew members who were paving on Old Kings Highway in Saugerties during the afternoon of Wednesday, June 5.

Wyatt Earp Cooper, 27, was arrested the following day when an Ulster County deputy sheriff spotted a pickup truck matching his description on West O’Reilly Street in the City of Kingston.

Cooper was interviewed and charged by Saugerties Police with menacing with a handgun. He posted bail and was released.
