WARWICK – With the swing of sledgehammers, officials of St. Anthony Community Hospital ceremonially broke ground on Thursday, for a major upgrade to the Warwick healthcare facility’s radiology department.

CEO Dr. Mary Leahy said the modernization of that department alone will be a $10 million investment.

“This is going to be able to provide state-of-the-art equipment, updated technology and be able to provide the best access to care for our patients here in the greater Warwick area,” Leahy said.

Other upgrades to the hospital will include a new operating room and renovations to the OR suite.

St. Anthony Community is a member of the Bon Secours Charity Health System along with Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis and Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. Bon Secours Charity Health System is a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.
