POUGHKEEPSIE – Town Police in Poughkeepsie have arrested a Fishkill man on charges that he possessed two counterfeit $100 bills.
Police said Joel Ruuska, 25, was investigated on May 31 regarding his driving privileges following a traffic stop on Route 9 in the Town of Poughkeepsie and he was found in possession of the counterfeit cash.
He was charged with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument and misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Ruuska was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
