Poughkeepsie man arrested for possession of crack cocaine, heroin/fentanyl

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Drug Task Force arrested a City of Poughkeepsie man on Thursday following the execution of a search warrant at 101 Smith Street in the city.

Curtis Parker, 53, who lives at that address, was taken into custody and charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. He was arraigned and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail and police said additional charges may be pending.

Seized in the raid were an ounce of crack cocaine, a half-ounce of heroin/fentanyl and $8,000 in cash.

Assisting in execution of the search warrant were the City of Poughkeepsie Police Emergency Services Unit and Dutchess County Sheriff’s Patrol.

The warrant search was the result of an investigation into narcotics sales at that location and surrounding area.
