Ulster lawmakers to select interim county comptroller

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Legislature will meet in special session on Tuesday, June 11 to select an interim county comptroller to serve through the end of the year.

The position became vacant recently when Elliott Auerbach was tapped by State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli to serve as a deputy state comptroller.

The majority on the county legislature is Democrat so it is likely that one of the two announced candidates for the November election will be selected.

Auerbach has endorsed March Gallagher for the post. She will be seek the Democratic line against Lisa Cutten.
