ALBANY – The State Office of Mental Health has named Susan Miller, managing director of Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. in Middletown as a recipient of the inaugural Community Care Award.
Miller’s agency serves Orange and Sullivan counties.
She was nominated for her commitment to ongoing quality improvement and the integration of effective, modern, modalities in treatment.
Miller oversees 25 residential, clinical, care management, rehabilitative and recreational programs, helping vulnerable people and families get the services they need, noted state Mental Health Commissioner Dr. Ann Sullivan.
The Community Care Awards were created in 2019 to highlight the state Office of Mental Health’s partners and stakeholders in local communities that are helping to identify and eliminate gaps in services and are working to build strong community-based behavioral healthcare systems
