Wallkill pair arrested following Middletown drug investigation

TOWN OF WALLKILL – Two people were arrested in a Town of Wallkill apartment following a three-month investigation into drug sales and distribution in and around the City of Middletown.

The Middletown Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, State Police and the FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force executed a search warrant at 1 Imperial Park Drive on Thursday, May 23 and arrested Jason Chisolm, 39, and Miranda Peterson, 29, both of Wallkill.

Officers seized over 53 grams of cocaine, more than 31 grams of crack cocaine, a loaded 9 mm handgun reported stolen from Pennsylvania, a box of 9mm ammunition, $1,920 in cash as well as packaging materials for the sale of narcotics.

Chisholm and Peterson were each charged with two counts of drug possession and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon, all as felonies. Both were sent to the Orange County Jail pending a future court appearance.
