TOWN OF WALLKILL – One person was killed when a car exploded and caught two others on fire in the parking lot of the Sherwood Forest Apartments off Goshen Turnpike in the Town of Wallkill Sunday morning.
State and Wallkill Police and fire investigators remained on the scene for hours as Goshen Turnpike and the entrance to the parking lot were blocked off with yellow police tape.
The vehicle that exploded was covered with a blue tarpaulin as a medical examiner inspected the damage.
Troopers, who are in the lead in this case, continue their investigation.
