GOSHEN (May 19) – The Goshen Chamber of Commerce announced the release of their new mobile friendly progressive web app to a full house at the May networking breakfast hosted by the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame.

The Goshen Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors are proud to announce the launch of their new Goshen Chamber APP, called a PWA (progressive web app).  Executive Director Barbara Martinez teamed up with Rick Scherer from Network Fusion to create a user-friendly, member-centered and mobile friendly web app.  “We wanted to create an app for our Chamber that provides up to date information to our members at the palm of their hands, with a simple but extremely robust PWA” said Executive Director Barbara Martinez.  She was introduced to Rick Scherer of Network Fusion, by her board member and current app owner Dr. Peter Holst of Middletown Health, Wellness & Chiropractic Center.

Network Fusion, not only joined the Goshen Chamber of Commerce but they also created a web app that captured the feel of Goshen Chamber of Commerce’s new website, released at the beginning of the month with Catskill Marketing. “In addition, we created an amazing app for our members, enhanced our Google reputation and currently have a strong presence online” said Barbara.

The planned release was kept as a surprise for all those in attendance at the May networking breakfast and was kicked off with a short video, currently running as the header of the Goshen Chamber Facebook Cover video.  Rick Scherer from Network Fusion, utilized ZOOM to introduce the app in real time to those in attendance and Barbara Martinez added the element of Facebook live for the unveiling, inviting those unable to attend the opportunity to experience and learn about the release of the app.  President of the Board, Mark Kalish was not able to attend the unveiling but was thrilled to watch along with several viewers via Facebook live. Executive Director Barbara Martinez states, “staying connected with our members is always our goal and providing tools to enhance the value of their membership is our priority, about being the first chamber in Orange County to release an app she said, “We are setting the pace and we welcome everyone to learn more about this and consider getting their own app for their business.” Goshen Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a July Round Table dedicated to introducing the app in depth and will further help those in attendance understand the importance of their Google Reputation. The July Networking Round Table is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at 12:00 pm location: TBD.  Refreshments will be catered by Orange County Bagel Bakery.  This round table discussion is FREE to members and $10.00 to non-members.  Link information will be provided on their website www.goshennychamber.com
