Teen charged with rape in Washingtonville

WASHINGTONVILLE – Village Police in Washingtonville arrested a 17-year-old male and charged him with first-degree rape.

The teen, whose name police did not make public, was also charged with sexual abuse, forcible touching and unlawful possession of marijuana. He was sent to the Orange County Jail pending a future court appearance.

The incident allegedly occurred on May 7.
