Middletown man arraigned in 2003 murder of Warwick man

GOSHEN – A Middletown man was arraigned in Orange County Court on an indictment charging him with murder.

Felipe Campos, 40, is alleged to have stabbed another man to death in 2003 in the Town of Warwick. The indictment alleges Campos intentionally killed the victim sometime between February 2 and 3, 2003.

Since the day the victim was found dead in the bedroom of his Warwick home, stabbed several times, State and Warwick Police have been investigating along with assistant district attorneys. Middletown City Police also assisted in the investigation.

On February 26, 2019, Campos was arrested by State Police. He was sent to the Orange County Jail with bail set at $1 million cash or $2 million bond. “It is important that law enforcement never cease looking for additional ways to solve crimes, particularly those which involve the loss of life,” said District Attorney David Hoovler.
