RAMAPO – Police are continuing
to investigate the hit-and-run accident in which a Pomona man was struck
and killed as he rode his bicycle on Route 202 in Pomona.
On December 21, 2015, an unidentified vehicle struck and killed William
George, 53, who was riding near the intersection of Old Haverstraw Road
near the Montebello/Wesley Hills border.
The incident occurred around 10:30 at night and it is believed the vehicle
involved was an early model blue Chevrolet pickup truck or SUV that sustained
damage to the passenger side frontend.
Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or the vehicle
