WHITE PLAINS – A Riverdale, Bronx, priest is charged in Westchester County with felony sexual abuse for touching the intimate parts of a 10-year-old girl.
Thomas Kreiser surrendered to authorities on Tuesday and was arraigned in Bronxville Village Court where bail was set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
According to Westchester District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, on September 20, Kreiser inappropriately touched a child while in a school building in Bronxville during the school day. The victim was fully clothed.
Keiser was employed as a Roman Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of New York and was stationed at St. Joseph’s Parish, which includes a church and elementary school. As part of his duties, Kreiser was visiting the school at the time of the alleged abuse.
The Archdiocese since removed him from the parish.
