CARMEL – Putnam County
legislators set salaries for elected and appointed officials during the
final regular legislative meeting of the year.
The nine-member governing body unanimously authorized the 2019 salary
of the county executive at $158,313, commissioner of finance at $144,033,
personnel director at $135,109, commissioner of mental health and social
services at $144,031, sheriff at $149,134, district attorney at $200,000,
county clerk at $129,121, county attorney at $142,800,health commissioner
$181,430 and commissioner of highways and facilities at $132,770.
Each of the nine legislators will earn $40,839 next year with the chairman
receiving an additional stipend of $8,959.
