WHITE PLAINS – A New Rochelle man pled guilty in Westchester County Court on Thursday to manslaughter.
Sincere Smith, 23, faces 25 years to life in state prison when sentenced next month. He was indicted with co-defendants Eric Lee, Allen Copeland and Leroy Garcia. They were charged with taking part in a series of violent events including the murder of Trevon Boswell, an intended robbery victim.
The robberies took place in a span of more than 12 hours taking the men through several municipalities including Mount Vernon, New Rochelle and Yonkers and also into the Bronx.
Smith was sentenced to 14 years in state prison for an armed robbery in Ossining in February 2017. He is already serving seven years in prison for assault where he pistol-whipped a New Rochelle barber.
Lee, of Mount Vernon, pled guilty to murder in the death of Boswell and seven other charges in connection with the crime spree. He will be sentenced later this month.
