GOSHEN – A Wallkill man
pled guilty before Orange County Court Judge Robert Freehill on Monday
to course of sexual conduct against a child as a violent felony.
District Attorney David Hoovler said Jacob Hogencamp, 46, admitted that
between September 2013 and June 2014, he engaged in two or more acts of
sexual conduct with a child who was less than 13 years old.
Pursuant to a plea agreement when he pled guilty, Hogencamp will be sentenced
to 15 years in state prison and 10 years of post-release supervision when
he is sentenced in January 2019.
State Police and the Orange County Child Abuse Unit investigated the case.
“Children are the most innocent and vulnerable of victims and anyone
who uses them for their own sexual gratification deserves a lengthy state
prison sentence,” said Hoovler.
