Shooting happened in front of Nelly’s restaurant, just east of Hamilton Street
POUGHKEEPSIE – Police received a 911 call shortly after midnight this morning, reporting a man down in front of 400 Main Street. Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to his head. He was transported to Mid Hudson Regional Hospital where was pronounced dead a short time later.
This victim has not been positively identified.
There were no witnesses in the area when officers arrived; however, there were people in the area when the incident occurred.
