POUGHKEEPSIE – Gunshots
rang out in the Winnikee Avenue-Mansion Street area of the City of Poughkeepsie
Thursday night with three people wounded.
The victims – two from Spring Valley and one from Hyde Park – were taken
to both MidHudson Regional Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center
in private vehicles. None of them suffered life-threatening injuries.
Both hospitals were placed on lockdown for a time.
None of the victims could provide police with a description of the shooters,
of from where the shots were fired. Shell casings and a handgun have been
located at the scene as police continue to investigate.
They told police they were in Poughkeepsie to shoot a music video.
This shooting occurred one day after a Pawling man, Matthew Conti, was shot
in the leg while he was in his car on Catharine Street on Wednesday.
