ORANGEBURG – Police in the Town of Orangetown are investigating two incidents that occurred on Monday and they are seeking the public’s help in solving them.
In one case, a burglary was reported in the Red Oak/Oak Tree Road area of Palisades sometime from the afternoon into the evening. The Orangeburg incident occurred in the early evening.
Police are seeking any exterior recordings in those areas and to notify the Orangetown Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 845-359-2121 if any suspicious activity is apparent.
Police say residents should always lock their doors and windows; maintain a well-lit property around their house; place timers on their interior lamps to give the appearance that someone is home at night; talk to neighbors and look out for one another; don’t mention your travel plans online; consider getting a home security system and register your alarm with your local police.
