MONTICELLO – A 26-year-old Monticello man is in the Sullivan County
Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail following his arrest on Wednesday.

Marcus Person was charged with four counts of forgery, and two counts
each of grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Person was arrested following an investigation into the fraudulent use
of stolen credit cards belonging to another Monticello man.

The victim had reported losing two credit cards on October 24 to village
police after he was alerted they were used fraudulently at several locations
in Monticello and the Town of Thompson.

Police reviewed video surveillance at the locations where they were used
and identified Person, who was arrested while on Pleasant Street in Monticello.
