Man found dead in Poughkeepsie backyard

POUGHKEEPSIE – Authorities are investigating the death of a 52-year-old man who was found in a neighbor’s backyard.
The man, whose name Poughkeepsie City Police did not make public, had not shown up for work Wednesday morning and police were asked to check on his welfare. They went to his 39 Pembroke Drive residence and found no signs of him, but a short time later, he was found dead in the neighbor’s yard.
The Dutchess County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
