FISHKILL – Councilman Thomas Adams, who has served on the Fishkill Town Board since 2016, died on Sunday following a long battle with cancer. He was 71.
Adams had been a public servant for much of his adult life and was well respected, said Town Supervisor Robert LaColla.
“He will truly be missed,” LaColla said. “He was steadfast in his service. He was even-keeled. I’m sure it is a tremendous loss for his family.”
Adams worked for the state court system for 27 years, served as administrator of the Village of New Paltz and prior to winning a town board seat, he served on the Fishkill Town Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.
