BREWSTER – A 70-year-old
Brewster man’s win of $1 million as a second prize in a recent New
York State Lottery Cash4Life game was “unbelievable” to Martin
Posner.

He plays the lottery every week and he stopped into the pharmacy where
he buys tickets and purchased two – one for the September 13 Cash4Life
game.

Posner went back to the store the following day when he realized he had
the winning ticket that was sold there and flipped out when he confirmed
it.

The winning numbers were 21-26-42-51-59 Cash Ball 01.

Posner has opted to take his winnings in one lump sum and will receive
a check for $671,800 after taxes.

The money isn’t going to stay in New York, though. “My wife
and I can now officially retire and move to Nevada,” he said while
at a presentation of a ceremonial check for $1 million on Thursday at
the Community Pharmacy on Independent Way in Brewster.
