TOWN OF WALLKILL – Crystal Run Village, an agency that provides human services for people with disabilities, is seeking permission to secure tax-free bonds to pay for a portion of its new $12 million headquarters in the Town of Wallkill.
The organization received initial approval from the Orange County Funding Corporation, said its Chief Operating Officer Laurie Villasuso.
“That would allow the OCFC, which is an LDC (local development corporation) to be a conduit to issue tax-exempt bonds,” Villasuso said, noting the county agencies are not providing any funding, but rather acting as a conduit for the tax-free bonds.
Crystal Run Village is seeking the status on some $9.5 million in bonds for the new administrative offices on Schutt Road.
