WHITE PLAINS – A New Rochelle youth pled guilty before Westchester County Court Judge Barry Warhit to armed assault as a felony for stabbing a New Rochelle High School student on January 18.
Bryan Stamps, 15, is in the custody at Woodfield Cottage in Valhalla. He is scheduled to be sentenced to one to three years in state prison when he returns to court in January.
Stamps stabbed another student inside the high school resulting in serious injuries resulting in the victim undergoing surgery.
Stamps fled New York. The FBI located him in Alabama four months later and was taken into custody on May 14. He waived extradition back to New York.
He was indicted by a Westchester County grand jury in April.
