POUGHKEEPSIE – Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation presented
information on its 2018 Distributed System Implementation Plan (DSIP)
on Thursday.
The information session was an overview of what is included in Central
Hudson’s 2018 DSIP filing, familiarizing stakeholders with the most
recent updates and offering an opportunity to discuss the plan with utility
representatives.
John Borchert, the director of Energy Policy and Transmission Development,
said their plan is similar to those of other utilities.
“When you look at these plans and you see the same language in one section that’s in Con Ed’s plan or Central Hudson’s plan, or Avant Grid or National Grid, that’s on purpose,” Borchert said. “It’s not that we steal from each other, we work together on this. We have worked hard to try to develop a common vision. The common vision being where we are today and where we would like to go.”
The utility looked back at the plan two years ago and where it is going in the future.
