Two arrested in Port Jervis stabbing, robbery

PORT JERVIS – Two men
are in the Orange County Jail charged with assaulting and robbing a 26-year-old
man in Port Jervis early Tuesday.

City Police were called to a report of a man yelling on Railroad Avenue
in the city’s “Acre” section at about 12:40 a.m. They
found the victim, who had been stabbed several times and had property
stolen,

Investigation by Port Jervis detectives led to the arrest of Christian
Turner, 23, of Matamoras, Pennsylvania and Nicholas James, 19, of Westbrookville.

The two allegedly engaged the victim in an altercation and Turner used
a weapon to stab him in the head and neck. The victim sustained minor
puncture wounds, police said.

The robbers then stole property and fled the scene.

Turner and James were charged with two counts of armed robbery, and assault,
all as felonies.

They were remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail
or $100,000 bond each.
