Yonkers man arrested for illegal dumping in Nodine Hill

YONKERS – Police charged a Yonkers man with illegally dumping mattresses in an empty lot adjacent to 94 Oak Street in the city.
Surveillance video captured an image of the man dumping the two items on August 4. Ten days later, the alleged perpetrator, Michael Davon Roman, 26, was located by a police patrol unit and arrested.
Roman was also found in possession of illegal drugs and charged.
Police said he faces potential fines of from $7,500 to $15,000 for the illegal dumping, in addition to any jail time.
Police will also impound any vehicle used to facilitate the dumping and the city will move to seize the vehicle.
