YONKERS – A man killed late last Thursday afternoon in Yonkers has been identified as a local resident.
Police said the victim, Duane Selby, 62, was walking across Yonkers Avenue when he was struck by a Jeep driven by a 35-year-old Yonkers woman. Selby was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The driver was treated and released at the hospital.
Police said the vehicle was westbound on Yonkers Avenue as Selby was crossing the street. It struck him and then hit a parked car before it rolled over on its side.
No criminal charges have been filed against the driver; however, the investigation is ongoing, police said.
