Climber rescued after falling 25 feet at Mohonk

GARDINER – State Police
and forest rangers rescued a climber on Sunday who fell 25 feet to a rock
ledge as he was climbing a 200-foot cliff face at the Mohonk Preserve.
The 22-year-old Brooklyn man was conscious and alert with minor injuries to his left arm and ribs with first responders reached him.
Rangers lowered the man from the ledge where he was evaluated by Mobile Life Support Services with no signs of serious physical injuries. He was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie for evaluation.
