Police had been called to the area of 1245 Park Street for a report of shots fired and found Lyons dead on the ground and word that a man was seen fleeing after arguing with him.
Police Chief Don Halmy praised the officers who worked the case, especially Det. Sgt. Jack Galusha and the detectives who worked under his charge.
The chief also expressed gratitude to the Westchester County Department of Public Safety, the county district attorney’s office and State Police, all of which assisted in the case.
