NEWBURGH – The state Civil Service Employees Association has endorsed Newburgh City Councilman Jonathan Jacobson for the State Assembly’s 104th district. He is one of five candidates vying in the September 13 Democratic primary election.
“Jonathan fought with us to keep Valley View Nursing Home owned and operated by Orange County saving hundreds of good paying jobs and now we want to fight for Jonathan to be elected to the Assembly so he can fight for all working men and women in the 104th District, said state CSEA President Danny Donohue.
Jacobson is a former assistant counsel to the Speaker of the State Assembly, assistant state attorney general, workers’ compensation judge and was Orange County Democratic committee chairman for 22 years.
The 104th Assembly District includes the cities of Newburgh, Beacon and Poughkeepsie and the towns of Newburgh, Marlborough and Lloyd.
