Long Island man killed in Greene County UTV crash

DURHAM – A passenger on a utility task vehicle was killed when the operator failed to negotiate a curve in the road, traveled off the shoulder and struck a tree.
Jeff Kuhn, 53, of East Northport was the front seat passenger on the vehicle operated by Scott Colleran, 51, of Lindenhurst.
The accident occurred at 5:41 p.m. on Saturday on Brand Hollow Road in the Town of Durham.
Three other people were in the UTV. Colleran and one of the other passengers were treated at Columbia Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained. The other two occupants were not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
State Police were assisted by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Albany County EMS, Town of Durham Police, Oak Hill Fire Department, the Durham Rescue Squad and the Tri-Village Fire Department.
