Roddey: Stepping down after
eight years as mayor
GOSHEN – Kyle Roddey is going to step down from the mayor’s
post in the Village of Goshen some time in the next month or so.
The position is part-time, but Roddey, who has been a social studies teacher
at Twin Towers Middle School in Middletown, has been named assistant principal
at Goshen High School.
The mayor said while he still enjoys the mayor’s role after serving
for eight years, he wants to “devote my 100 percent to the students
and families of the Goshen School District.”
Village elections are held in March so the village board will name an
interim mayor until the next election at which time that person will run
for a full term.
