NEW CITY – The Rockland County Department of Mental Health will be conducting a drug take-back day on Sunday, July 15.
The county is partnering for the collection, at Eli’s Bagels at 58 North Myrtle Avenue in Spring Valley, with Bikur Cholim, Refuah Health and the Spring Valley Police Department, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to empty their medicine cabinets of unneeded medications to keep the drugs from falling into the wrong hands.
“Drugs are stealing the lives of too many of our residents, particularly our young people,” said County Executive Edwin Day. “We in county government are working collaboratively to do everything possible to combat this crisis.”
