FISHKILL – A Bronx woman is under arrest for promoting prison contraband as a felony.
State Police from the Wappinger barracks said Charisma Gonzalez, 19, possessed two scalpel blades with the intent to pass them to an inmate when she entered Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill as a visitor. She was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,500 bond pending a future court appearance.
State Police were assisted by the State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations.
