WHITE PLAINS – Westchester County Executive George Latimer announced the appointment of Norma Drummond as commissioner of the county planning department. She has worked for the county for more than 30 years, previously serving as both acting commissioner and deputy commissioner of the planning department.
Latimer said on Monday Drummond “brings a wealth of experience administering community development and affordable housing programs for Westchester County, she provides direct assistance to our local municipalities, developers and non-profit agencies, and helps to address the needs of low and moderate income housing in our neighborhoods.”
Drummond joined county government in 1986 as a staff assistant to the county Office of Economic Development. She moved to the planning department where she held a number of positions.
