ANDES – A new film festival is coming to the Catskills in the falls. The Great Western Catskills International Film Festival will be held from Friday, October 19 through Sunday, October 21 in the Delaware County Town of Andes.
Screenings and events, including a spotlight on local filmmakers, will
be held throughout the hamlet of Andes with three primary locations at
Wayside Cider Tap Room, the Andes Hotel and Streamside Studios.
“We chose to host the festival in Andes because it’s a very walkable and adorable town and we could find a handful of great screening locations that would allow visitors access to great places to eat, drink and enjoy during their visit,” said festival organizer Lisa Wisely.
Submissions from filmmakers are being accepted through Film Freeway and Without a Box with a deadline of July 13.
Films should be in the categories of narrative feature, documentary feature, narrative short, documentary short, animated short and young filmmaker shorts.
