Man arrested for making threats at DMV

WAPPINGERS FALLS – A Wappinger man is under arrest charged with making a terroristic threat as a felony and menacing as a misdemeanor.
State Police at the Wappinger barracks were dispatched on Monday, June 18 at about 9:10 a.m. to a report of a man with a gun at the Wappingers Falls DMV office.
Investigation determined Barry Gutierrez, 28, was acting in a disruptive manner alarming people at the office by implying he had a gun and was worse than a preschool shooter.
Gutierrez was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.
